June 1, 2003 Storm

It was a cool and wet spring in the east following a very cold winter. Another weekend storm this first week of June 2003 brought more heavy rains and gusty winds. The maps and satellite imagery looked more like a winter storm than one on the first of June. The lowest pressure in the storm reached at least 28.97, very respectable for even a winter storm. As the storm passed close-by around noon on Sunday, the winds at Nantucket gusted to 60mph.
